Youth Makers Market was founded in June 2021 by Aaliyah and Bella Rubio, during a time when the COVID-19 pandemic had changed everyday life.

Like many young people during the pandemic, Aaliyah and Bella began exploring their creativity and discovering new ways to express themselves. After visiting a local Mujeres Makers Market, they were inspired by the creativity, entrepreneurship, and sense of community they experienced.

That inspiration sparked an idea: What if young people had a market of their own?

From that vision, Youth Makers Market was born.

Rooted in Santa Barbara, California, Youth Makers Market provides young entrepreneurs, artists, and makers with opportunities to showcase their talents, share their creations, and connect with their community.

What began as an idea between two young founders has grown into a mission centered on empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and creative leaders.

We believe that age should never limit creativity, opportunity, or the ability to make a difference.
